We have developed an extensive network of sources over the last twenty-six years in Asia. We are in regular contact with runners, dealers and gallery owners as well as collectors and museums. We can offer you the benefit of this network of connections with the following services:

Apart from the buying we do for our own collections we also buy on commission for special clients.

If you are looking for particular pieces for your collection we can put you on our priority list. When we locate an example of the piece you require we will send you details and photographs by express mail, or preferably by Internet E-mail. The piece will then be put on hold for a minimum of one week, or until we hear from you.

Among other items, for example, we are currently looking for high quality Tang Dynasty miniature gilt bronzes, preferably less than 2 inches high, for a leading collector. Also Dong Son bronze drums and urns.

If we do not specialise in the type of piece we are looking for we will refer your request to one of the best experts in the field.

We also represent clients at auctions, discretely buying on their behalf, allowing them to remain anonymous.

The seller must agree that while Fitzwilliam Ltd. is offering the piece on the seller's behalf, the seller will not offer the piece for sale at a price less than that at which it is being offered by Fitzwilliam Ltd., that is the seller's price plus the relevant commission, as defined below.

The seller agrees to provide suitable photographs at their own expense. Photographs will be returned as required by the seller. Seller will also provide details of the origin, dimensions and period of the piece, also any other details that may be considered essential by Fitzwilliam Ltd.

The seller agrees that should the piece be sold during the time that it is being presented by Fitzwilliam Ltd, the seller must immediately inform Fitzwilliam Ltd.

Both seller and buyer will sign a Non-Disclosure and Non-Circumvention Agreement, if required to do so by Fitzwilliam Ltd.

Commission charged by Fitzwilliam Ltd. for buying or selling on behalf of clients:

Items under $1,000: 20% of buying/selling price
Items $1,000-5,000: 15% of buying/selling price or $200, whichever is greater.
Items $5,000 and over: 10% of buying/selling price or $750, whichever is greater.
The commission is negotiable for amounts exceeding $20,000.00
